.Meet The Team
I started dancing aged 3 at my Mother's school, the Bosworth School of Dancing. I spent several years doing Tap,Modern, Disco and a little Ballet. By the time I was 13 years old, I had taken all my medals and was teaching with my Mum, and my own classes.
When I was 15, Mum and I started at Peggy Spencers Ballroom and Latin Classes in Penge. I took my exams, and within six months of starting I was asked to replace one of the Latin Formation Team's members, who was leaving. I had three weeks to learn a long routine combining 5 Latin dances and appear on TV's 'Come Dancing', competing for Home Counties South.
I stayed with the Team for four years, and danced in the UK Dance Championships in Blackpool, the World Dance Championships in Germany and Holland, and appeared in TV adverts for Halifax and Wilkinson Sword.
After leaving the team, I went off to Butlins Hotels in Margate and Brighton to sing and dance as a Redcoat. When I returned, I took my Teachers exams and began teaching for Peggy Spencer, and also gave private tuition.
After a long break, which I spent being a Mum to two boys, I 'kick started' my dancing again by performing in local Amateur Dramatic Societies, then learning to teach Leroc, before forming our 'Latin Fever' school along with Mum.
